A Day at the Aquarium

We all went down to Mystic Aquarium for Daddy's day off.  Callum thoroughly enjoyed the Beluga whales, they came right up to the glass and kissed him.

If I kiss the glass, maybe they'll come back...

More, more, more beluga whales!

Callum impressed the family next to us and their little girl.  He taught them how to sign "whale."

Look, it's a beluga whale, no, really!

Callum has been listening almost nonstop to Sandra Boynton's "Personal Penguin" song on one of her CDs.  He always requests it when he gets in the car by signing "penguin" and slapping his knees.  This is especially helpful because Mommy can hear him requesting it by the knee-slapping.  We listened to the song on the way down, and thought blissfully of the excitement on his face when he would get to see some real penguins in their natural habitat.  It didn't quite work out that way.  Callum said that the penguins needed a few more icebergs.  Their exhibit was down for repairs, and they were stuck in this little pen in the sun.  Very underwhelming...
This penguin display is just ridiculous...
I think there is a cool sea lion show going on behind me, but I'd rather play on the bleachers!
