We started the new year 2013 by moving in to our new house in New Jersey! Brad came first, walking in the door on January 1 after a relaxing Christmas vacation that now feels like it was a dream. The house in general was beautiful, and after a few initial disasters things have settled down nicely. The basement sewage ejection system failed, the basement ceiling started leaking water one day, and the front hall closet had mold that needed investigation, but we got these all resolved and moved in by mid-January.
We painted several rooms and acquired some fun new furniture to enjoy. Callum was a great help and patient for many weeks as Mom and Dad pushed through unpacking all of the boxes, putting things together, and hanging up many pictures. He loves the new spaces to run and jump and push his trucks. He has discovered Bristle Blocks and now loves to build things with them. He has lots of new play areas, and we love his toy room on the main level where we can keep all of the fun (and mess) somewhat contained.
