Callum was ready to really join the fun this year at the cabin. He wanted to play in the lake, join in the dance video game, eat all of the great food, go see the buffalo and moose, float down the river, feed the fish, ride a horse, and he absolutely loved spending time with his cousins. He still starts his prayers with: "Our Dear Father, we thank thee for this day, thank you for our cousins..."
Enjoying his Daddy's favorite treat: The Lightning Bolt - a chocolate or cream-filled pastry from West Yellowstone.
The visit to Old Faithful this year consisted mainly of a tired boy pushing a stroller around, but we did get some great ice cream!
Mommy enjoyed showing Callum her favorite Yellowstone feature: the Paint Pots.
Cozy shared her environmental slogan "Glitter Not Litter" with all of us this year.
Callum was very careful to wash his hands frequently at the cabin. He was a big fan of the stool in this bathroom so he could do it himself.
Callum had a great time pushing the pedals on the player piano. He wanted to do this every day after he learned how it worked.
Callum went to his first musical in West Yellowstone, "Beauty and the Beast." He had a wonderful time, and especially enjoyed seeing the beast. He kept whispering to me, "Where is the Beast?" whenever he was not onstage. We thought it was serendipitously fun that we had already put Daddy's painting of Beauty and the Beast from high school on the wall in Callum's play room. He was able to point out all of the characters when we got home. We went out to get barbecue with the cousins before the show. Callum was excited to get some popcorn and soda pop at intermission.
