The Sacred Grove and Palmyra Temple

We took a weekend trip up to Palmyra, New York to go to the temple and take Callum to the temple, Sacred Grove, and Joseph Smith home.  Here he is with Mommy, touching the temple.

This is the spot where the trees have been cut away by the temple to get a view of the Sacred Grove from the temple site.

Here is Callum on the bridge near the entrance to the Sacred Grove.  He loved walking along the path into the forest.  We stopped and had a great talk about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ visiting Joseph Smith in the Sacred Grove, and Callum was very reverent.  We had to turn him around a bit to get him to walk back out, so when he saw this same river again on the way out, he said "There's another river!"

When we got home from our trip, Callum wanted to use his Mega Blocks, and after some initial work, he told me "I'm building the temple!"

He also built "The Sacred Grove."  We were happy to see that our long drive to see these important sites had a great effect on this wonderful boy.
